Neighborhood Zona 10 (Zona Viva) — an upscale, mixed-use district of Guatemala City with high-end hotels, international restaurants, bars and nightlife, corporate offices, embassies and cultural sites (Popol Vuh and Ixchel museums). Walkable within the core blocks but surrounded by busy arterial roads; security is generally tighter than in other zones and private/armed security is common around hotels and nightlife venues.

Getting around Ride-hailing apps (Uber, DiDi) and regulated taxis are the most convenient and commonly used options in Zona 10. Private airport shuttles and hotel transfers are widely available. Local bus routes and 'chicken buses' serve the wider city but are less tourist-friendly; expect limited pedestrian safety outside main corridors. There is no citywide metro; Transmetro BRT services do not directly serve Zona 10, so most visitors use cars or ride-hail for short trips. Driving is possible but traffic can be heavy during peak hours and parking at hotels/malls is typically paid.
